The sun is shining brightly outside but all I want to do is sew indoors. Very strange….but I’m enjoying looking out at the blue sky when I lift my head to refill bobbins 🙂
I’ve continued with the Bargello Trip Around the World theme this week and used up more of those lovely Michael Miller prints. This one is fit for a princess.
If you are anything like me, these images should conjure up memories of ice cream, candy floss, sugared almonds and dreamy fondant icing on cupcakes.
I think the ivory hearts is my favourite of all these prints. How girly are they?
I’ll be doing some quilting after lunch today and then tonight I’ll be sewing the first part of the new SAL with Claire. The chart is free and the design only requires a small piece of aida (or other fabric of your choice) and some scraps of embroidery floss. I’m sure Claire will welcome you aboard if you want to join in the fun 🙂 The small design is probably just right for a gift card. It uses only cross-stitch and blackwork. Of course, you don’t have to stitch it in black. If it is anything like the previous SALs which Claire has organised, there will be all manner of colours and fabrics used. You can see previous finishes of all the participants here.

I’m with you…..the weather here is very cool and rainy — easy to stay in and sew; but when the sun shows and blue skies….I find it is so pleasant to gaze out my window at the sunny loveliness and sew, also!!!!! / April 6, 2013This is a beautiful quilt and I love pink – of a hot kind rather than a “girly” pink kind – however I’m sure the princess in mind will just love it too! The strawberries remind me of warm summer days…..let’s hope today’s sunshine is the prelude of more to come!

/ April 10, 2013I am not a pink person, however I love the pink quilt. It is so pretty and strawberries are a sign of summer. It will look wonderful quilted with different stitches. How about strawberry shapes or leaves?

/ April 10, 2013M y problem is I want to do everythong, and as a result I have a massive START collection of things, I should call them WIPS but there has NOT been much work on some to qualify – LOL – I think I have craft A-D-D or at least that is my excuse at the moment.
I thought when I started blogging it might get things moving – but I am still at a stale mate with my crafting – but then – I also work during the day 3-4 days per week – so life does get in the way – xx Debbierose 🙂
