Enter……Sammy the Starfish!

Here is my first attempt at hand stitched applique. It is incredibly time consuming. Looks like my “Under The Sea” project will be a long term one!

    • Yes, I can’t believe how well it worked out. Some of the fishes are in the same fabric but a lilac shade. Couldn’t resist the smile 😀

  11. Ha, have you seen finding Nemo? This one looks like the little chap in the tank.

    • No I haven’t seen it. I just tried to make him a little irregular which was difficult for me as I really wanted to make him from a perfect pentangle. The fabric was spotted in my stash by my OH. I was about to use my beloved solids 😉 I’m off to Google Nemo and friends 🙂

    • Thank you Lin. I’m not sure what I’ll be working on today…..waiting for the yarn for my crocheted ripple blanket to be delivered. Lots of lovely purples and blues 🙂 Avis x
