…..and sew some more!

Hello everyone. Happy Easter to you all!

Pinwheels are like chocolates in my opinion. They make me smile and very happy indeed. So much so that I couldn’t stop making them this week. I’ve done the pink princess ones and now it was time for a nautical feel….though I promise you there are no ships in sight. I love red, white and blue together.ย Here they are waiting to be made into a quilt top.

That dark carpet is now covered in white threads! I must get the vacuum cleaner out….or maybe I should sew some more instead. That’s an easy choice to make ๐Ÿ˜‰

I chose white borders again, though they were very nearly blue.

Sharp and simple, I’d say. Less is more and all that….

I know I’ll enjoy quilting this one. However, I don’t know exactly how I’ll do it yet. I do know what the binding will look like. Not telling yet …

So now, what do I do for the rest of today? A bit of knitting, crochet, cross-stitch…..sew many choices. I hope I can’t hear anyone suggesting I vacuum the floor, can I?

Have a wonderful crafty weekend!

Sew, sew……

Hi to all of my lovely readers and followers of this little blog ๐Ÿ™‚ I hope all is well with you and there is plenty of Easter sunshine for you all to soak up. It is sunny here today in more ways than one.

Firstly, my pink pinwheels now have sashes and borders and the resulting quilt top is now sitting in the box labelled “To be quilted”. I’ve kept it simple and crisp with white, fit for a princess. I have to say, the sunny colours remind me of seaside candy rock, the sort which has the name of the seaside town running all the way through it. I bet that conjures up a few wonderful childhood memories for some of you.

I’ve had fun using all the different prints and rearranging the layout over and over again.

While I do that I can always think about my next project ๐Ÿ™‚

And guess what’s happened in the garden today………

The first daffodil bud has bowed its head in the sunshine! Spring is here, Yay!!

Hopefully you will have fun in the sun this weekend too. You’ll find me at my sewing machine. Don’t want to get sun burn, do I?

I wonder what I could make with these. Can you help?

Here they are! ย My Moda remnants. Seven half metres in all. I don’t usually go for these colours as they are so “traditional”. However, ย I see it as a challenge and I’m looking for suggestions on how to “spice” them up a bit. Should I stick to a traditional pattern or go for the more modern look? Anything patchwork and quilting and only adding white and/or cream, if anything, are my rules. Go on, tell me what style or pattern you would use. Thank you ๐Ÿ™‚ in advance. I’m waiting to be inspired.
